Rule-Based Object Coordination
نویسندگان
چکیده
We discuss a framework in which the traditional features of objects (encapsulation, communication, etc.) are enhanced with synchronization and coordination facilities, using the declarative power of rules. We propose two interpretations of rules, one re-active and the other pro-active, corresponding to diierent kinds of interactions between the rules and the objects. Finally, we consider the problem of capturing domain speciic knowledge within a general coordination framework, for which constraints ooer a promising direction of research.

Localization of Impacted Maxillary Canine Teeth: A Comparison between Panoramic and Buccal Object Rule in Intraoral Radiography
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the efficacy of panoramic radiography and the buccal object rule in intraoral periapical radiography for localization of impacted maxillary canine teeth. Methods: A total of 20 panoramic radiographs depicting 28 displaced maxillary canines were evaluated. The ratio of the mesiodistal width of the impacted canine to the mesiodistal width of the...
متن کاملCoordination in Workflow Management Systems - A Rule-Based Approach
Coordination is a key requirement of software systems where diierent parts have to be adjusted in order to reach a common goal. A prominent example thereof are workkow management systems (WFMS). They in particular require exible mechanisms to realize diierent kinds of coordination, which are called coordination policies. This need for exibility emerges from the fact that coordination policies i...
متن کاملObject Level Strategy for Spectral Quality Assessment of High Resolution Pan-sharpen Images
Panchromatic and multi-spectral images produced by the remote sensing satellites are fused together to provide a multi-spectral image with a high spatial resolution at the same time. The spectral quality of the fused images is very important because the quality of a large number of remote sensing products depends on it. Due to the importance of the spectral quality of the fused images, its eval...

متن کاملModelling in Coordination Systems
We describe an approach to the coordination of application systems based on the modelling and maintenance of inter-system dependencies expressed as data constraints together with update propagation rules. These dependencies are speciied by a Coordination Model which comprises a Coordination Interface for each application system together with a global Coordination View. A Coordination Interface ...
